Abstract: The greatest threat to health workers' safety at work is violence from patients and visitors. Verbal abuse is the most prevalent form of violence which can be mitigated by healthy workplace environments. Approximately 50% of healthcare workers reported experience at least one instance of physical or psychological violence. The purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between verbal abuse and nurses’ workplace environment.
